Installation requirements for sinks
Undermount sinks are designed for installation on solid suface countertops only.
Heavier Elkay sinks, e.g., Fireclay series, require a support frame under the sink for mounting.

Getting the right fit
Elkay sink model numbers indicate the approximate overall measurements of the sink: the first two numbers represent the length, the next two numbers represent the width. If there are two more numbers, these represent the depth of one or more of the bowls.
For example: ELU281612 is approximately 28 inches in length, 16 inches wide and 12 inches deep.

The smaller the gauge number the heavier the stainless steel. Most Elkay sinks are 18 gauge, but not all.
